In honor of Lebanon’s Independence Day (Nov. 22nd, 1943), please allow me to share this nostalgic photo of the pre-war Lebanon. It was taken in 1965 by photographer Carlo Bavagnoli for LIFE Magazine. It shows two couples at a spectacular scene, enjoying the famous Lebanese mezze.
