Al-Abed Clock Tower on the Place de l’Étoile or Nejmeh Square in Downtown Beirut. The Lebanese Parliament is also here and the place is heavily guarded. Commando’s with machine guns on every corner. Cameras everywhere. Pretty dead in the morning but in the afternoon and at night the restaurants open up and it is lively. This area is expensive.

Inside the 2008 Mohammad Al-Amin mosque, the biggest mosque in Lebanon.
I am no Muslim but it looked so nice so I just walked in. Calm down, calm down…. I took of my shoes and washed my feet. I’m no animal.
It is very pretty inside. Very impressive. Shiny chandeliers, soft carpets, all very high quality.
