IMAGE INFO
– This unique image was shot by my late father-in-law, Driver Tom Beazley, during his unit’s big convoy move from Julis re-training Camp, via Beyrouth, to the big Allied Ras Baalbek operations camp in Syria (later North Lebanon).
– The map location is a best estimate only.
– Tom’s viewpoint is looking south-eastwards towards the foothills of the Mountains of Lebanon, from the then outskirts of Beyrouth.
