Giant tortoise believed extinct for 100 years discovered in Galapagos – Did You Know

A living member of a species of tortoise was not seen since 1906

Earlier in the 1800s, on Archipelago of Galapagos islands, there were a species of Tortoise known as Galapagos Giant Tortoises. These were giant in size that’s why used to called giant tortoises. But after arrival of Rats on the islands these species of tortoise got extinct.
