In wandering around Beirut, you’ll see many bombed out buildings. This one, located close to the central city, is an apartment building. Most of the apartments were no longer occupied however about one on four were. I climb up to the forth floor and took this photo from one of the vacated apartments. This apartment was located in the main arts and entertainment district of Beirut called Gemmayzeh. It’s a struggling city due to the civil war and other wars. It’s definitely a dicey place to travel, but a fascinating and unique place to see.
