Peacekeepers of UNIFIL’s Maritime Task Force corvette BNS Bijoy working late at night at the ship’s deck to assess the level of damage. UNIFIL today carried out an assessment of the damages caused to “BNS Bijoy”, which is one of six ships with the UN Mission’s Maritime Task Force, by the devastating explosions of yesterday in the Beirut Port. UNIFIL is with the Lebanese people during these challenging times and is supporting the affected peacekeepers from Bangladesh, who have been injured by the explosions.
