On 6 August 2020 in Lebanon, a view of a broken window at the Karantina Governmental Hospital, which was severely impacted by the Beirut port explosion of 4 August 2020. UNICEF supports the neonatal unit, which provides medical interventions for newborn babies. Among other effects wrought by the explosion, UNICEF estimates that some 80,000 children have been displaced, with families affected in desperate need of support.
